Do you know who Ada Lovelace is? If you have ever used a computer, you probably should!
Who is this hero? How does she fit into all this computer history? Lovelace is considered by many to be the first programmer, authoring the first computer program in the 1840’s. When we look at the accomplishments of Ada Lovelace, we see a thought leader, far ahead of her time, thinking on the far edges of possibility.
We are all pushed forward by thinkers like Ada.
Perhaps we could all do well to celebrate the thought leaders and visionaries of history a little more. Particularly of those who overcame the social obstacles of their time. Their stories remind us to dream bigger and reach further than what we see ahead.
SciShow explores the unexpected. Seven days a week, Hank Green, Michael Aranda, and Olivia Gordon delve into the scientific subjects that defy our expectations and make us even more curious!
