What if you couldn’t enjoy having fun with people your age?
Many people who use wheelchairs are unable to enjoy places like waterparks because their wheelchairs are not waterproof. Luckily, the world is full of innovators like Gordon Hartman and the engineers at the Human Engineering Research Laboratories. Using waterproof wheelchairs, they were able to make Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio, Texas the first fully accessible waterpark.
Let’s find out more about this inspiring innovation!
Morgan’s Wonderland shows us the power of thinking inclusively! It gives everyone the opportunity to connect with people who are new and different than them and share in fun together. We all deserve to play and learn from our peers, and that play can teach us to find strength and confidence in our unique abilities.
