Who we are

The Goodness Exchange is a networking platform that prioritizes professional and personal growth as we work together to make the world a better place. Our website address is: goodness-exchange.com. The Goodness Exchange is owned and operated by our parent company Ever Widening Circles, LLC (hereafter referred to as “EWC”). The CEO of EWC is Liesl Ulrich-Verderber, who can be contacted at [email protected].

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

The Goodness Exchange does collect personal data, such as name, email address, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as purchase information; and technical data, such as information about cookies. By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. We do not intend on sharing or selling any personal data with/to any third party. Here is more information about what we collect:

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. It is possible for visitors to the website to download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

When you submit information to any contact form, poll, or other form on the Goodness Exchange website, the information you enter is recorded by EWC. We keep that data for 2 years after entry for (1) customer service purposes, (2) for the purpose of the Goodness Exchange admins receiving feedback about what our community members would like to see in terms of decisions about events the Exchange will hold and features the website will change or add, and (3) for the purpose of tracking analytics on use and approval of the site itself.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Analytics

Who we share your data with

WordPress itself does not share personal data with any third party. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. IP address information is only used for general location data. It will never be sold or shared to/with any third party.

Once you have subscribed to the Goodness Exchange mailings, your personal data will be stored on the Goodness Exchange ActiveCampaign account. The Goodness Exchange has no intention of ever selling or sharing this information, but does use it to better the performance of the website and network in accordance with the desires and needs of our audience.

Please refer to the Google Analytics Privacy Policy and ActiveCampaign Privacy Policy for more information about those servers.
