9 minute lesson
Have you ever wondered what school is like for kids in different countries?
With this video from CafCu Media, we get a quick glance into lunchtime in Japan, a very different experience than what you might be familiar with. Be prepared to be surprised!
By learning about different cultures and customs, we can better understand the world around us, both nearby and far away. We also have so much to gain from looking at the different ways that others do things. We can learn from other cultures, and they can learn from us.
Seeing the ways that the school in Japan takes so much care to be environmentally friendly is inspiring and hopefully can lead to more sustainability efforts in schools around the world.
What were some of the ways that the lunchtime at this school in Japan is different from your lunchtime?
In what ways was the school environmentally friendly during lunchtime?
Is there anything you could do differently at lunchtime to be more sustainable?
