Take a look at the beautiful goo in the photo. Of course, it won’t be solving maze puzzles any time soon. Or will it?
If a pulsating wad of goo called slime mold can solve a maze, should we consider it “smart?”
The insights in the video-share we are pointing you to today from one of EWC’s favorite Youtube channels,It’s Okay To Be Smart, are absolutely amazing.
Now, what are we to think of the intelligence of a chicken, an apple tree or a tadpole? What if measuring “intelligence” depends on nothing more than the questions you choose?
This is just one reminder that intelligence can’t be determined by the way something, or someone, looks.
Joe Hanson, Ph.D. is a curious group of atoms in a curious universe, and he’s here to tell you how it all works. New science videos come out every week on the It’s Okay To Be Smart Channel!
